What’s Next After Salvaged: Studio News & New Beginnings

What’s Next After Salvaged: Studio News & New Beginnings

I’ve been reflecting over the last few weeks on my exhibition and what’s next on the art front. I loved getting to know some new faces who came to my exhibition, Salvaged, which wrapped up in early May in Matakana. Nothing beats the feeling of having my work displayed on the walls for people to see! It has been wonderful sharing my work with audiences in the Mahurangi region, especially now that I live in Warkworth.

I have a few exciting updates. Firstly, I’m moving into a studio space in Warkworth this week. My father-in-law has kindly offered me the use of his downstairs studio, and I’m incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity. The studio consists of two rooms with a sliding door between them. One space will be used as a workshop, while the other will serve as a studio and display area for my work.

Another exciting announcement is that I’ve joined the Mahurangi Artist Network, a community designed to support artists and provide opportunities to exhibit work in the Mahurangi Artist Network Gallery in Matakana. Each year, the network also hosts an arts trail, where local artists open their studios to visitors and showcase their work.

I’ve added a link to my Mahurangi Artist Network profile below if you’d like to check it out.

Have a wonderful week
