The Great Escape Series

I have a long-standing fascination with the ways people inhabit different environments around the world, particularly dwellings located in remote landscapes—houses embedded within forests or precariously anchored to cliff faces—where architecture exists in close relationship with its surroundings.

The Great Escape series is inspired by these forms of remote living and presents a nostalgic or imagined lifestyle for the viewer. For some, these environments represent a distant aspiration; for others, they evoke a deep sense of familiarity and belonging.

These sculptures are constructed from reclaimed house timbers, with bricks sourced from the fireplace of an early 1900s villa.

Each piece is unique and original.
